Alicia joined CAN-Rac in 2024, after developing her skills as an organizer in the ENGO community and a project coordinator in the public health sector. She has a deep passion for climate action, health equity, and empathy-guided systems change.
Alicia was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley on the west coast of Canada, and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Victoria. Following her graduation in 2020, she has worked with environmental ENGOs, political campaigns, health authorities, and various non-profits.
Alicia currently works from her home office on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, in what is also known as Vancouver. When she isn’t working, you can find her exploring the trails and waters of the west coast, gardening in her backyard, or creating art.
