Katie Gibbs

Katie (she/her) is a scientist, organizer and environmentalist. For more than two decades, she has been championing bold climate action. After completing her Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa in Conservation Biology, Katie cofounded Evidence for Democracy, a national, not-for-profit organization promoting science and the transparent use of evidence in government decision-making. Before joining CAN-Rac, Katie worked to advance carbon pricing in Canada and internationally with Environment and Climate Change Canada. She lives in Centretown with her young family and is happiest on her bike or foraging for urban fruit.
