Cette approbation finale du projet est per\u00e7ue comme un renoncement inqui\u00e9tant aux ambitions du gouvernement provincial <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">en tant que leader dans la lutte contre les changements climatiques.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le pipeline PRGT a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u dans un seul but : acheminer du gaz de schiste vers le projet Ksi Lisims LNG, une usine de liqu\u00e9faction de gaz naturel qui n\u2019a toujours pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9e. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cleanenergycanada.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Report_LNG-Macrh2024.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selon Clean Energy Canada<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, si les projets PRGT et Ksi Lisims sont men\u00e9s \u00e0 bien, ils causeront environ 500 milliards de dollars de dommages climatiques.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab Le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique a pris une d\u00e9cision d\u00e9sastreuse en approuvant la construction de ce pipeline \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Emily Lowan, responsable des campagnes sur l\u2019approvisionnement fossile au R\u00e9seau action climat Canada. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab S\u2019il est construit, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com\/opinion\/contributors\/elbows-up-heres-how-some-of-the-major-projects-were-fast-tracking-will-end-up\/article_cebe4e2d-5b44-432c-8e26-c54c0ed277fd.html\">il profitera aux alli\u00e9s milliardaires de Donald Trump<\/a>, comme Stephen Schwarzman de Blackstone, qui appuient ce projet. Dans la foul\u00e9e du projet de loi 15, cette d\u00e9cision repr\u00e9sente une nouvelle atteinte manifeste des droits des peuples autochtones. Des proc\u00e9dures juridiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 engag\u00e9es pour emp\u00eacher l\u2019autorisation du pipeline, mais le gouvernement semble les ignorer compl\u00e8tement. Les permis pour ce projet devaient expirer il y a six mois, et le projet, tel qu\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9, diff\u00e8re radicalement du projet initialement autoris\u00e9 il y a dix ans. Le gouvernement n\u2019a pas respect\u00e9 la proc\u00e9dure de consultation des communaut\u00e9s concern\u00e9es ni celle d\u2019\u00e9valuation environnementale. Entre le projet de loi 15 et le PRGT, le gouvernement a perdu toute sa cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de climat, d\u2019\u00e9nergie et de r\u00e9conciliation en l\u2019espace de deux semaines. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\">-30-<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Climate Action Network \u2013 R\u00e9seau action climat (CAN-Rac) Canada<\/strong>\u00a0est le plus vaste r\u00e9seau d\u2019organisations travaillant sur les questions li\u00e9es aux changements climatiques et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9nergie au Canada.
