Announcing CAN-Rac Canada’s New Executive Director
Concluding an extensive selection process, the Board of Directors of Climate Action Network – Reseau action climat (CAN-Rac) Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Abreu as its Executive Director.
Catherine joins CAN-Rac with a wealth of campaigning, communications, coordination, fundraising and government relations experience, as well as the proven ability to conceive and execute longer-term strategic visions and to connect with diverse partners and audiences.
Her previous roles within the Canadian climate movement include Energy Campaign Coordinator at the Ecology Action Centre and Regional Coordinator of the Atlantic Canada Sustainable Energy Coalition.
Andrea Peart, CAN-Rac Board Chair, said of the appointment: “I am confident that Catherine brings the right mix of innovative thinking, strategic vision, and coalition building experience that CAN-Rac’s new Executive Director needs to support the Network through this next phase of its evolution.”
