0 Europe is not discriminating against Canada with its proposed new fuel quality legislation that would brand oilsands oil as dirtier than conventional crude, says a member of the European Parliament visiting Montreal Friday to meet with Quebec politicians and journalists.
« I am trying to convey a message of friendship and explain that this is not against Canada or any government or state; it is about Europe doing the right thing, which is to fight climate change, » said Kriton Arsenis, a member of the European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.
