Consultations on coal regs flooded with thousands of letters urging tougher plan to reduce emissions

0 OTTAWA-Consultations on proposed regulations to crack down on pollution from coal-fired power plants have attracted more than 5,000 letters from Canadians urging a tougher plan, several environmental groups said Thursday.
The Canadian groups encouraged their members to participate in the public consultation period which wrapped up this week, noting that the regulations could actually reduce 10 per cent of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions if they are stringent enough. Read more…
