0 This letter was one of two documents submitted by Canada under the consultation process of non EU states for Article 7a of the Fuel Quality Directive.
The letter argues against “favouring” certain crude oils, i.e. it argues that tar sands oil should not have a higher carbon intensity value than other crudes.
This letter uses many of the same arguments found in Ross Hornby’s letter, and Lisa Raitt’s letter to Schwarzenegger. Kevin Stringer also wrote a letter to the California Air Resources Board concerning the Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
