0 This consultation paper proposes a default value for tar sands oil of 107 GHG (gCO2eq)/MJ. Canada’s lobbying efforts have been to have this default value removed.
A leaked document showed that they were temporarily successful (see document “non-paper on FQD without tar sands”). Now, the position of the EU is that they will put a value on tar sands by the end of 2011.
