0 This speech from Ed Stelmach makes the intentions of the Government of Alberta clear. When they interfere with foreign climate policy, such as the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard, they aren’t doing so because they want tar sands oil to be some sort of temporary solution.
In the Premier’s words « We’re talking about a resource that, at current production levels, will sustain production of three
million barrels of oil a day for over 150 years. »
Stelmach is trying to position Alberta as an energy source for the future. No mention of EU policy.
