In this section, you will find information about what the Canadian provincial and federal governments are doing (or not doing) to fight climate change.
The Canadian government is one of the worst industrialized countries in the world when it comes to taking action on climate change. The world needs a Fair, Ambitious and Binding climate deal and Canada needs to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
The federal government has repeatedly failed to regulate Canada’s growing greenhouse gas pollution. They have also failed to make meaningful investments in the clean energy economy of the 21st century. The good news is that it is not too late for the government to change tracks and take action.
There is climate change leadership in Canada! More than 3/4 of Canadians live in provinces or territories that are beginning to take meaningful action on climate change and clean energy.
