The ACIA is the world’s most detailed assessment of regional climatic changes. The document examines how climate and ultraviolet radiation have changed in the arctic, and how they are predicted to change progressively and continually.

Ouranos is a research and development consortium that brings together scientists and professional from different disciplines. Its main focus is on the impacts of climate change and adaptability of communities.
- The Churchill Northern Studies Centre

The CNSC is a non profit organization established in 1976. Its goal is to understand and sustain the North. CNSC provides funding and resources for researchers who want to study around the Churchill area - a place where three ecosystems meet: marine, tundra and boreal forest.

- Silaup Asijjipallianinga Project, Nunavik, Quebec

The Silaup Asijjipallianinga project works in collaboration with Kativik Regional Government (KRG), Nunavik Communities and Ouranos. The main goals of the project are to asses and monitor the safety of sea ice around the coast of Nunavik.

The Canadian Polar Commission is the lead government agency responsible for monitoring and promoting knowledge of the Polar Regions. Its mandate includes promotion of Polar Research, the monitoring of Polar Knowledge from Canada and around the world as well as communicating results from Polar Research to Canadians.

International Polar Year is a large scientific program which strives to extensively research the northern and southern polar regions. 2007/08 was the official polar year, but it was extended to 2009 because of its incredible success.
