Stand Up for the Environment During this Election!
Climate Action Network Canada, Sierra Club Canada and Greenpeace and have compiled a list of ways you can help make the environment a priority in Election 2008:
- Ask candidates in your riding to take the KYOTOplus Pledge for Politicians - Make climate change and the environment THE topic at All-Candidates Meetings
- Write letters to the editor
The KYOTOplus campaign asks Canadian politicians to support strong action against climate change in Canada and around the world by signing the KYOTOplus Pledge. Individuals can sign the KYOTOplus Petition, which calls for Canada to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at least 25 per cent (from the 1990 level) by 2020.
