- Visit your MP Days
Friday, December 11th and
Monday, December 14th
On Friday the 11th and Monday the 14th, Canadians across the country visited their member of parliament's constituency office and demanded that Canada support a fair, ambitious and binding global climate change agreement in Copenhagen. If you think that your member of parliament is already supportive, then visit an MP that has refused to endorse the KyotoPlus pledge for politicians or organize an event in your community that shows the federal government that you care.
- Global Day of Action:
Rallies, Candlelight Vigils Marches, and Protests
Saturday, December 12th
On Saturday December 12th, as talks in Copenhagen reach a critical mid-way point, rallies were held in communities around the world! Visit http://tcktcktck.org/realdeal for more information.
- 350 Bells!
Sunday, December 13th
KAIROS - Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives organized Canada’s participation in this international event, which was overseen by the World Council of Churches. On Sunday, December 13, faith-based groups around the world rang their bells 350 times, either at 3:00 pm local time (to be part of a chain of bells rolling around the Earth) or at the end of their service.
