Description


This session is designed to inform and engage health professionals in the issue of climate change. Three excellent guest speakers will describe the causes of climate change, the environmental and health impacts, and actions needed both to reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases as well as to prepare for expected health impacts.

At the end of the session attendees will:
  • Understand the causes and features of climate change
  • Understand the health consequences from the various impacts of climate change
  • Understand actions individuals and groups can take to reduce emissions that contribute to climate change
  • Know what actions to recommend to their patients to protect their health from climate impacts

Certificates of attendance for three hours of professional training will be available.
