Plugging Ontario Into a Green Future: A Renewable is Doable Action Plan

By Cherise Burda and Roger Peters – The Pembina Institute.

This proposal examines the role of clean alternative energies in Ontario’s energy mix.  Particular attention is given to Ontario’s aging nuclear fleet and the benefits of choosing clean energy technologies over expensive nuclear options in the next generation of Ontario energy supply.  Conservation demand management, waste heat recycling as well as combined heat and power are other highlighted technologies that are described in greater detail within the proposed clean energy mix.
